  1. Awwww he’s so handsome! Congrats on your new family member, senior cats are very rewarding companions

  2. What a sweetie! Older cats have so much love to give and usually just want to cuddle and snooze. Maybe eat some good snacks.

  3. He looks a bit wary still. I hope he settles in quickly. Thank you for adopting an adult kitty AND a black cat! He looks like he’ll make a good snuggle kitty.

  4. How wonderful for both of you! I hope you have the most fantastic time with each other! Black cat boys are awesome and people who adopt older pets from shelters are saints and deserve lots of praises! You are great! ??

  5. We renamed our black kitty too. Her name was Wiggles (we learned that each day is a letter and pets that come into the shelter that day are named with that letter if they didn’t come with one.) She’s not a Wiggles she is a sophisticated lady. We renamed her Poe. One day I called her Miss Poe and she meowed back at me and responded, so her unofficial name is Miss Poe.

Miss Poe had a kitten, even though her papers said she was fixed. We named the kitten Pratchett, she knows her name and is two now. We’ve started a trend of naming our pets after our favorite authors.

Thanks for reading my story, I love talking about my girls ?.

  6. And what a lucky boy he is! This made me a little emotional as my 14-year-old void girl is at my mother’s in a different state. When I moved I couldn’t take her with me but seeing how much my mum loves having her around It would feel wrong to break their special bond,

  7. Black cats are amazing. I’ve had several black boys throughout my life and each has been a special, individual character, much loved and sorely missed.

My current feline is a little black lady who is queen of the house.

Sending Salem virtual scritches and wishing him a long and happy life in his new forever home. ?❤️?❤️

  8. A sleepy boy. I have one adopted from a farm, he’s got no ears and half a tail, and is a runt but he’s so perfect for me. My sweets ? you are awesome.
