Don’t know if this is a snowy owl or just an albino… But I saw this guy perched up by a farmer’s field on my way to work!

Snowy, if I remember correctly the males don’t have much in the way of spots or markings
This is a male snowy owl 👍🏻
Yep. Male snowys are all white typically
He’s so gorgeous and windswept! I wonder what he’s thinking about, he looks so pensive

Hedwig!!!
Owlbino.
He’s a snowy and he’s gorgeous!
Male snowy – no spots
Nice capture! They get whiter with age, so this is an old one!
Snowy owl, and boy are you lucky! And so are we, since you are sharing! Thank you, he is beautiful
Anyone know the interaction with feathers and albinism? Not sure I’ve seen an animal with feathers who are albino, I would be surprised if albinism effects the feathers too though
Thanks for sharing! A great find.
A heroic quest awaits you
fluffy cotton
That’s a Snowy! And a real beauty as well! Congrats!
It’s a male snowy, most, if not all, albinos will have red eyes too
You are so lucky. I love Snowy Owls, but I’ve never seen one in the wild like that.
Looks like a spirit owl
Dark eyes means it can’t be albino. Leucistic at most (lack of pigment, opposite of melanistic = all black, like black panthers). But more likely a male snowy, they can have very few markings.
Yeah, that’s a male snowy, you can tell by the fluffy talons and smug expression they have
