Frostie The Snow Goat – Update

Hey Sloth Lovers. We’ve haven’t done a follow up post before but now we have!

Yesterday we shared an article about this adorable little guy called Frostie the goat, the amazingly adorable snow goat rescued by Edgars Animal Sanctuary.

Frostie suffered from a condition called Joint navel ill, a disease that is seen in very young calves and kid goats and results from an infection entering the body via the umbilical cord soon after birth.

Frostie The Snow Goat Couldnt Use His Legs

For poor Frostie, this mean that he lost the use of his back legs. This didn’t stop the carers at Edgar’s though. They fashioned a trolly for Frostie and over time he managed to make his way around the grounds of the Sanctuary using just his front legs.

The thing is. Frostie wasn’t any old goat. Frost had heart.

As each day rolled on and he rolled along with it, it wasn’t long before he grew stronger. Being able to stand alone without his cart for short periods of time.

Frostie The Goat Standing Alone

That wasn’t the end of it though. Over time his strength continued to grow and soon he was at a point where he was able to spring and jump with the other little goats in the sanctuary.

Such an amazing little goat and testament to the carers at Edgars Animal sanctuary who didn’t give up on this little guy!
