Lion cubs are so cute, and they’re a lot of fun to watch. But did you know that they actually bond with their mothers for a long time? It’s true! In fact, the record-holder for the longest time a mother and cub have been together is a pair of lions in Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. The two were spotted together more than nine years after the cubs were born!

Generally, cubs will stay with their mothers for about two years before striking out on their own in search of new adventures. But some have been known to stay even longer than that!

The average lifespan of a lion is about 16 years, but some have been known to live up to 20 years old. They’re pretty tough animals, and they can survive in many different environments.

As you’ll see from this photo. lions are amazing creatures that deserve all the love and attention we can give them!
