  1. New York too! I work at one and everyone that comes in says all other stores are out of pet food, so it’s good it’s essential. (Still sucks I’m exposed)

  2. I work at FedEx in Southern PA and let me tell you, the amount of Chewy packages I have to deal with now is astronomical. Most trucks are filled with at least 55 – 80% of Chewy, and I heard that the facility is behind 90 truck worths of orders. Crazy.

Edit: Just wanna add I deal with 4.5x more Chewy than I did just 3 weeks ago. Are people hoarding pet food too?

  3. Thank goodness — Amazon is no longer timely and i simply can’t imagine, daaarling what my guys would do with *grocery* food. Spoiled rotten Aristocats at my house.

  4. I work at a pet store in Florida, and my county has a stay at home order effective tomorrow. We’re still open! Pets have gotta eat too.

  5. I’m not gonna lie, I was expecting a lot more places to be closed after the “essential employees” order. Apparently it’s more of a list of who has to close rather than who has to stay open. The city activity barely looks any different than normal. I still get food from the same places and still get what I need from the same places.

  6. In Pennsylvania, beer store employees were classified as essential employees. These are some straight priorities.

  7. All I can think about are those shelves…..they’re holding alot of heavy bags haha. Props to the company who makes those shelves!

  8. I work at a pet store. Wish we could move to online ordering only. Some coworkers are striking. I’m doing overtime because I need as many hours as i can get. Shit really sucks. Cute cat tho

  9. Same here, pet stores are staying open because they’re important, pet salons are closed though so my mom can’t work at the moment

  10. This is the reason my roommate still has a job…and he STILL bitches about the lockdown. His girlfriend is a diner waitress so she isn’t working and he decided that March was the perfect month to get a new place with her, making me have to find a new cheaper place since our landlord doesnt want only me in the apartment. Jokes on him because I pay for the internet, bought the modem and router AND am gonna take back my 49 inch TV while he postpones moving till the end of April.

  11. We can say things like “awwww animals are essential to our lives 😻” but from a pragmatic view it’s totally dumb

Animal can eat natural things and they’re meant to, and we want as less as possible human being out there, so we can dismiss those kind of work easily
