This is Picard. His gotcha day was February 11th. He has kept me sane throughout this COVID stuff. His presence has given me a reason to want to live. He is very funny. He knows “sit,” “lay down,” and “SPEAK.” (Hdoes that one REALLY well.) He’s basically my soulmate.

  1. They just have a way of being the perfect companion s. Even if they sleep you from a queen size bed, with your feet over the side, you can’t be mad at them.

  2. As crazy as this pandemic is…I really love how it brought you and your puppy together. In some other time it wouldn’t be the same. Best wishes to you both for a happy & healthy new life.

  3. Don’t listen to people who say he is too skinny. Puppies burn a lot of calories since they’re growing, and they’re supposed to be lean. Before you know if his metabolism will slow and you will need to cut back how much you are feeding him so he doesn’t get overweight. At the end of the day, as long as the vet is happy with his weight that’s all that matters. My puppy was also lean and he filled out once he hit approx a year and a half.

Puppy food is higher in calories than adult food. That’s pretty much the main difference.

Glad you make each other happy. You’re a great dog parent 🙂

  4. To me, he looks too thin for the amount of food you’re giving him. Has he been wormed? I would also recommend bringing him to the vet’s, if they’re open where you live. 🙂

  5. I had to increase our younger dog’s food past the suggested amount because he was too thin. It is often about metabolism and growing. Yours likely needs a good quality puppy food. And 3 cups might not be enough for him. No judgement. It is obvious you love him. It is hard to figure out what is the right amount. But I would increase.
