Something we just learned about tigers is that they actually practice their roar quite often to improve it, just as a singer would! Their routine to maintain their peak roar consists of chuffing, hissing, growling and more. It seems like all the practacing works pretty well too!
When tigers roar, the sound can be heard nearly two miles away. It turns out they can stretch their vocal cords in such a special way that it pumps up the volume of their vocalizations so they can be super loud!
