Zoom In To See My Tiny Teeth - Happy February Zoom In To See My Tiny Teeth

Check out the tiny teeth @lionelthehog shared on Instagram 🦔

Hedgehogs can have up to 44 teeny tiny teeth. They have incisors, premolars, molars, and canine teeth just like us. They get these teeth when they are just 3 weeks old, which means they have them almost their entire lives to allow them to chew and grab their food.

As they get older, the baby teeth will fall out (they are so small they often get eaten by the hedgehog)! As an adult they will be left with between 36 to 44 permanent teeth.

I don’t recall human teeth ever looking so cute!
